a scarier thought than impeachment...

Though I have placed little hints [cough, cough] in previous posts about impeaching George W, I realize that it is out of the question. If impeachment were to become a reality and there was a trial in the Senate to remove Bush from office and he were convicted, there is only one ending - President Cheney.

Through all the trials and tribulations that George W has faced and created, behind all of them sits Dick Cheney. He is vilified vocally by Democrats, progressives, Libertarians, etc. and quietly by Republicans and true conservatives. He's the man behind the throne, even if his hold is seeming to slip a bit lately. He tries and often does call the shots and he has a hatred for limited power. Many refer to George W as Machiavellian. It's more the people behind and around him that fit into this mold.

That's not the scarier thought. This is:
But whatever the democrats end up doing in the end, one thing is clear. A new star has been born. Gonzales is young, boyishly handsome, has a quick wit, a sharp mind, and voluminous knowledge about the inner workings of government. Knowledge such as this could be key to winning the war on terror. And the fact that Gonzales could help with the Hispanic vote is a big plus. When Candidate Cheney decides who his veep should be, I'm sure there will be several qualified candidates (and we'll talk about them, too), but Al Gonzales should definitely be on the list. Cheney-Gonzales 08. Has a nice ring to it, don't you think? 2008 Veepstakes: VP Gonzales?

I seriously am not kidding about this. You can read more on a new blog entitled Dick's the Man. I found a reference to it in today's Chicago Sun-Times QT column that Zay Smith entitle - Need a laugh?

Some how, with the way things are so out of control lately, I'm not sure this is the kind of laugh we need.

As Katherine Hepburn, playing Eleanor of Aquitane in the movie The Lion in Winter, said:
Love, in a world where carpenters
get resurrected, anything is possible.

be afraid, be very, very afraid...

Your right! Cheney is more scarier than Bush!

Bush's main mistake has been his willingness to appease the left.
