weekender...

The cowboy lay sprawled across three entire seats in the posh Amarillo theatre. When the usher came by and noticed this he whispered to the cowboy, "Sorry, sir, but you're only allowed one seat." The cowboy groaned but didn't budge. The usher became more impatient. "Sir, if you don't get up from there, I'm going to have to call the manager. The cowboy just groaned.

The usher marched briskly back up the aisle. In a moment he returned with the manager. Together the two of them tried repeatedly to move the cowboy, but with no success. Finally, they summoned the police. The cop surveyed the situation briefly then asked, "All right buddy, what's you're name?"

"Sam," the cowboy moaned.

"Where ya from, Sam?"

With pain in his voice Sam replied..... "The balcony."

wonder what happened...

when they took the US Airways plane out of the Hudson River?

Well, they had to move it. When they took the plane out of the Hudson they ended up having to detour through East Rutherford NJ. These roads were not made for planes.

check this out!

given that we have been experiencing a cold winter all over the U.S. this year - the high in Orlando, Florida yesterday was 49° - i got this from a friend yesterday that i think ALL of us can agree with...

how cold is it?.jpg

i'm so happy i'm leaving for the Miami and the Caribbean tomorrow, but i don't mean to be throwing it in your face.

yes i do.

you can get in a car or on a plane and go someplace warm. or just go lie in a tanning bed for 20 minutes. it ain't the real sun, but it's the next best thing...

Yep, it's a Porsche!

Found it over on Autoblog.com (one, if not the, favorite blogs i peruse daily) and instantly thought of my friend, Ed. He just retired from teaching high school, lives in one of the top suburbs in Chicagoland, and has at least an acre of land.

Sent it to him, but I haven't gotten a response yet. I did send a copy to his son, and this was his reply:
Dad i see a good retirement gift for yourself. The wheel might not fall off every other year.
oops!

it's not a Bugatti, but Ed's tastes are much simpler than mine...
